I have a dream, too. This dream has been stirring in my heart and painting a vision of a better life, specifically for women around the world. I know there are already organizations and individuals who are working toward this dream, and I want to join with them as God leads.
While reading the book Intentional Living by John C. Maxwell, I was challenged to create a clear statement of the dream I believe God has placed in my heart.
I believe God has placed a dream in each of us, if we will listen for it. Some dreams are global, while others are closer to home. But all dreams require that like-minded people draw together to share wisdom, resources, support and companionship. In this spirit, I would like to share my personal dream statement with you.
Do these words resonate with you?
I have a dream that one day women around the world will embrace an empowered life, a life of passion and purpose, a life of learning and of personal development and responsibility.
I have a dream that one day gratitude and service to others will be practiced daily and recognized as the primary pathway to a life of joy and personal fulfillment.
I have a dream that one day a wellness lifestyle, embracing the words of Hippocrates, “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food”, will permeate our culture, drastically reducing the cost of medical expenses, while simultaneously increasing energy, clarity and an active lifestyle.
I have a dream that one day every woman will embrace her own unique gifts, talents and experiences, and use these to craft a purpose driven life, a life of significance that will reach beyond her immediate environment to bless others.
I have a dream that one day women will embrace their natural beauty, dignity and goodness, and demonstrate a sincere respect for and appreciation of themselves and all others.
I have a dream that one day teams of women will step forward courageously to reach out to those wounded by the selfishness of others, crippled by life circumstances, or limited by conditions beyond their control, to bring hope, resources and sisterly support, one person at a time.
Do you share this dream?
Yes, I am embracing this dream, a dream that begins with each small, seemingly insignificant step. This dream is greater than any one person or organization, but together, God can do amazing things through us. I don't know exactly where this dream will take us, but I am ready to accept the challenge and join with others to make a difference in our world.
Will you join this dream team?
We are each encouraged to spend some time exploring our dream and clearly articulating it so it can be shared with others. Those who have a similar dream will join with you and the dream can more quickly become a reality, and can expand beyond what you may have thought possible.
If the dream I've shared stirs your heart, then contact me. I know it seems big, and there are many components. God may be bringing us together for some future purpose. I would love to hear the desires and dreams in your heart.
