This season offers us a choice, to focus on our blessings or to focus on our lack. We can choose to focus on the blessings in our lives or we can harbor feelings of discontentment and discouragement. At times, I am tempted to respond like a child demanding that Santa bring me what I want.
Then I meet those who have lost a loved one in the last year, have been diagnosed with a terminal illness or who have lost their job, experienced divorce or have a child bent on destruction, and my heart is reminded of the need to be grateful for all I have. I am fortunate enough, and if you are reading this so are you, to still have moments to share with those I love.
