We are keenly aware of all the promises, plans and intentions we had for 2016. We may evaluate our progress and ask ourselves if we really lived up to our potential. Are we healthier, better equipped, stronger, financially more secure, happier? We may be disappointed by the answers to some of these questions. This moment in time allows us to consider where we are headed and if the road we are currently traveling is the best route to get us to the goals and dreams we hold in our hearts.
I believe that God has a special purpose for each of us, and He has placed dreams and desires in our hearts, not to frustrate us, but to guide and challenge us. He is ready with grace, direction and resources to help us make these dreams and desires a reality. Often, we limit ourselves out of fear of failure, or even fear of success.
For some, the dreams and desires in your heart may need to be given permission to surface and be recognized. Once you know what the dreams and desires are for the coming year, you may find it helpful to honestly ask yourself what is hindering you from achieving them.
Here are some questions I am asking myself in order to create my plan for 2017:
- When and how will I learn? What will I read? What webinars or classes will I attend?
- Who will I partner with? Who might I seek out as a mentor, life coach, or accountability partner?
- What steps will I take to be healthier? What changes will I make to my diet? daily routine? exercise plan?
- How will I create additional income or financial resources? How will I grow my home business? Will I do some life coaching? Will I learn more about investments and real estate?
