Over the past several months, I have been giving much thought to my purpose and mission in life. In the midst of an empty nest and more time on my own, I am asking those hard questions about the future.
What are my future contributions to the world? How I can best serve the people that God leads into my life? What is the best way to share natural health remedies with a wider audience and bring healing and blessing to more people's lives? How can I be a good steward of my time? I want to grow in my ability to inspire, empower and support all of you and my Young Living team, I want to seek out those who can be an inspiration and mentor to me as well.
Even if I am not entirely sure where the path is leading, I can trust that God has a future full of hope (Jeremiah, 29:11) and I can be thankful for the blessings and fun along the way.
Self evaluation and reflection happens at many stages through our lives. Some of you may be at the beginning of your journey with young families or new jobs and you're excited and hopeful about the future. Others may be feeling a bit worn thin, disolutioned or uncertain due to difficulties or unsolicited change. Still others may find themselves reevaluating their life's work and the legacy they wish to leave the world.
Whatever stage you find yourself in, reflection, prayer and a change of pace for a time may be helpful in clarifying the path before you. Don't forget to take time to smell the flowers, to be grateful for the blessings of the present moment and to enjoy the people God has placed in your path.
