Well, I tried it and it worked. It was rather a fun process to watch too. To begin, my tub was empty of water as it had eventually all drained out. I simply sprinkled several tablespoons of baking soda into the drain, opened my bottle of white vinegar and poured some in. It bubbled like a volcano, then subsided. I left it overnight.
The next morning, I ran water down the drain and it still seemed a bit reluctant, so I used a plunger to give one gentle push and away the clog went. It is now working better than it has in the 5 months that I have lived in my apartment.
With such simple, cost effective remedies, who would want to use anything else? I hope this bit of advice blesses you as much as it did me.
