- Vodka (what!?!?)
I arrived to the class after a beautiful drive on a cold, clear day, and settled in with about 15 other participants (each with Vodka in hand). The class was wonderful and we did put the Vodka to good use. The instructors talked about the history of herbal medicine, local plants to identify for use, safety concerns, how to make tinctures, oils, ointments, bug repellants, and more. I was intrigued from the beginning (OK, from the mention of Vodka) and enjoyed everything that was taught.
(So why Vodka? Click "Read More")
Learning about local plants and herbal remedies challenges me to consider how I would fair if I found myself cut off from others and had to rely on my local habitat for help. I know I need more knowledge than I have currently. Do you know much about the medicinal plants in your area of the world? Do you know how to prepare them? With the world in such turmoil, it might be knowledge worth having.
So grab your bottle of Vodka, and take to the hills to discover God's miraculous plants.
