You read that right! At this year's Grand Convention, Young Living released their first ever OTC medications with the FDA's stamp of approval. Of course, these products are still completely natural and of the highest quality as you would expect from Young Living.

Let's take a quick visual look at three unique products. You can learn more on Young Living's website, www.youngliving.com or by visiting my Facebook page, Young Living With Susie. If you would like to place an order, I'd be honored to assist you. Just use my ID#1196107 and Young Living will connect us.

"Each day, 46 people die in this country after overdosing on prescription painkillers.  In 2012 alone, the CDC says 259 million prescriptions were written for painkillers, enough to supply every American adult with a bottle of pills."  PBS newshour

Pain is difficult to live with on a daily basis. What if something natural and non-addicting could help bring relief?

Can you help me share this with those in need?
Here is a great video that explains why Cool Azul works.

My Baby Can't Breathe!

This is a guest post by Nicole Nelson from Homestead to Heaven at homesteadtoheaven.com

Sometimes it’s hard to not feel like a failure when one of our children gets sick….

Okay, I know that we can’t protect our children from everything. However, when we have such a great resource in our Young Living Essential Oils, it can become difficult to remember that.

I’m more of a reactive type person versus a proactive type, so I am not always as smart as I’d like to be in my essential oil use. When Valentine’s Day rolled around this past February, I decided that we should have a little Valentine’s Day party with all of my children’s little friends. It was to be a low-key affair… or at least as low-key as you can get with five moms and eleven children 5 years and younger! Thanks to the help of my mom, I was prepared for our party when it rolled around on the 13th of February – or so I thought. I neglected to think of the germs my children would be exposed to with so many little people running around the house! I should have prepared their immune systems by putting Thieves Essential Oil on their feet every day, on the days leading up to our party, but I didn’t. Oi!

Inevitably, my 10 month old ended up getting a pretty nasty cold that kept him congested most of the time. This left him uncomfortable, and made it difficult for him to sleep and eat.

 So what did I do?

Teething Relief with Clove Oil

2/19/2015

My son and his family are currently serving in the Philippians for a few months as lay missionaries. His sons, my grandsons, are almost 3 and 1 & 1/2 and the younger boy has been slow to get his teeth and is now getting them all at once. Needless to say, teething is no fun and can create many cranky moments.

Over the Christmas holiday, when Philip would get fussy, clingy and not want to eat or sleep, we would put some Young Living clove essential oil on the tip of a finger and rub it on his gums. Within seconds, he would become a happy, cooperative baby, and would sleep and eat much better.

Here's what my son had to say on Facebook recently. I thought you might enjoy hearing straight from the parent's mouth.

So, what's been our life saver and most used oil lately?

Clove! What a miracle worker this oil has been for our teething little one. His demeanor changes almost instantly. It's like night and day. He goes from being fussy, whinny, won't eat even though he is hungry and just totally out of sorts, to the happy boy we know him to be.

This mama is super grateful for the gift of clove essential oil! I just don't know what we would do without it.
Did you know that Clove oil was used for many, many years by dentists doing dental work. It is a natural analgesic and numbs the pain.

So when you have little people who need some relief, why not try some Young Living Clove essential oil?

Have a (Healthy) Heart

With Valentine's Day around the corner, what better time to share ways to support the heart, both physically and emotionally.

Recently, at our PGH Young Living meeting, we discussed support for our physical heart and the essential oils and supplements that aid the body in keeping the heart strong. It was interesting to realize that, according to the Essential Oil Desk Reference, magnesium is a crucial mineral for the heart, and the lack of it causes all sorts of heart issues. Certain essential oil blends such as Peace & Calming, Aroma Life, and Valor, and single essential oils such as Clove, Ylang Ylang and Helichrysum were mentioned frequently as being effective for supporting the heart in doing its job.

In a publication by Ronald Lawrence, MD, PHD, 15 New Discoveries That Will Stop Heart Disease, Dr. Lawrence quotes studies that state that free radicals in the blood cause oxidized cholesterol which is the real cause of heart disease. Antioxidants are key to eliminating this oxidized cholesterol, so foods rich in antioxidants (or essential oils, like those found in Young Living's Longevity softgels) are of great benefit. Interestingly, statin drugs do not decrease oxidized cholesterol.

A Royal Pain in the Neck

At a recent Young Living meeting in Pittsburgh, we had a lively discussion about the many essential oils and oil blends that have been a blessing to those with various aches & pains. Since pain is the body's signal that something is wrong, there really is not a health challenge that doesn't involve some type of pain.

From a pulled muscle to head tension, from an overall achy feeling to minor joint pain, many of Young Living's products were found by our attendees to be soothing and offer relief. Pure, toxic free options, these Young Living products assist the body to do its job better. Here are a few of the favorite options we discussed:

Copaiba: an Ecuadorian oil known for its soothing properties.  Many of our members found this oil to be amazingly helpful.

Idaho Balsam Fir: Commonly used as a Christmas tree, this oil has been prized through the ages for its ability to support respiratory and muscular health.

PanAway (blend): a combination of peppermint, wintergreen, clove and helichrysum essential oils, this is a popular oil for topical use on minor aches and pains in muscles, joints and bones, especially after exercise. I have shared this oil at festivals and meetings and have heard exclamations of joy moments later, as relief is experienced.
